TYPE SIL   SWAGED-IN FLEXIBLE LEADS
Swaged-In Leads allow a high degree of flexing as well as the ability to bend the leads sharply after exiting the heater. The lead wires are swaged inside the heater to provide a secure connection for long heater life. This is an ideal design when space is limited.

TYPE SB   STAINLESS STEEL BRAID
Stainless Steel Braid protects leads from abrasive or sharp equipment while allowing a high degree of  flexibility. The SS braid is held securely inside the heater to prevent the braid from pulling out.

TYPE SH   STAINLESS STEEL ARMOR/HOSE
Stainless Steel Armor/Hose offers the highest degree of lead protection from abrasive or sharp equipment while allowing flexibility. The SS Armor/Hose is securely fastened inside the heater.

TYPE RAB   RIGHT ANGLE BRAID
Right Angle Stainless Steel Braid  protects leads from abrasive or sharp equipment while allowing a high degree of flexibility. The SS braid is held securely inside the heater to prevent the braid from pulling out.

TYPE RAH   RIGHT ANGLE STAINLESS STEEL ARMOR/HOSE
Right Angle SS Armor/Hose offers the highest degree of lead protection from abrasive or sharp equipment while allowing flexibility. The SS Armor/Hose is securely fastened to the heater.

TYPE RAS   RIGHT ANGLE SWAGED-IN LEADS
Right Angle Swaged-In Leads offer the  highest flexibility and are often used when space limitations are critical. Leads are swaged-in with a protective sleeve for added lead protection.

TYPE CEH   COPPER ELBOW WITH STAINLESS STEEL ARMOR/HOSE
Copper Elbow provides additional lead protection and avoids potential lead wire damage. The copper elbow is brazed to the flex hose before assembly to the heater. The copper elbow is then brazed or welded to the heater sheath. The armor/hose offers the highest degree of lead protection.

TYPE CEB   COPPER ELBOW WITH STAINLESS STEEL BRAID
Copper Elbow provides additional lead protection and avoids potential lead wire damage. The copper elbow is brazed or welded to the sheath. The SS braid is held securely inside the heater to prevent the braid from pulling out.

TYPE JA or KA   DISC END INTERNAL THERMOCOUPLE TYPE J (JA) OR TYPE K (KA)
The T/C junction at the disc end of the heater can be used to monitor the material flow past the end of the heater probe. Both T/C and heater leads will be the same length unless specified, 36” leads are standard.
(Not available in 1/8” diameter.)

TYPE JC or KC   CENTER LOCATION INTERNAL THERMOCOUPLE TYPE J (JC) OR TYPE K (KC)
The T/C junction in the center of the heater can be used to monitor the platen or manifold temperature. Both T/C and heater leads will be the same length unless specified, 36” leads are standard.
(Not available in 1/8” diameter.)

Grounded T/C is standard, for Ungrounded please specify.

TYPE DW   DISTRIBUTED WATTAGE
Distributed wattage concentrates extra heat where it is needed. This is particularly useful to compensate for high heat losses along the edges of heated parts. Distributed wattage is available in all diameters.

TYPE TFB or TYPE TFS   HEX HEAD PIPE FITTINGS
Hex Head pipe fittings are available in brass (TFB) or stainless steel (TFS). Brass fittings are brazed on and stainless can be brazed or welded on. These are particularly useful in immersion heater applications. Single thread sizes are listed. For double threaded fittings consult Tevac.

TYPE F   FLANGE
Mounting Flanges at the lead end is ideal to secure the heater in place to prevent movement due to vibration or other operating conditions. The Flange must be welded over the non-heated area of the heater. A flange can  also assist with heater removal. Flanges measure 1/16” thick.

TYPE PT   POST TERMINALS
Post terminals provide a convenient way to attach ring wire lugs or fork connectors and are often used to hook up multiple heaters in platens. The studs are 8-32 and come with nuts and washers. Post-terminals are available for sizes 5/8” diameter and over.

TYPE CL   CRIMPED LEADS
Flexible stranded lead wire is crimped to the end of the solid conductor and electronically insulated with a silicone rubber sleeving.

1/8" & 3/16" diameter units:  ±3% of length

All other units > 4 1/2" long:  ±2% of length
